Maurice Roberts was the minister of the Inverness congregation of the Free Church of Scotland (Continuing), before his retirement in 2010. He is well-known as a conference speaker and continues to engage in a preaching, teaching and writing ministry.

I am reading through this book a second time, plus we are using it for family devotions. Brother Maurice is easy to read, yet deep and thought-provoking. The chapters on prayer are especially convicting and encouraging. Oh, that God's people would gather and pray and trust!
