Paul Brand, The Shoes That Love Made
Paul Brand grew up in the Kolli Malai hills in India. He was determined never to leave India and never to be a doctor like his father - especially to lepers. Paul came back to India with a medical degree and there were patients waiting for him - leprosy patients. From then on he devoted his life to their care ... even to the point of making them special shoes! Paul's faith in God, his love for mankind and his medical abilities gave those who suffered from leprosy a new life - and hope.

A truly lovely book about an inspirational man. Paul, the son of missionary parents in India, loved his home and never wanted to leave it......The tracing of all the twists and turns of life, to bring him to the place where his many talents could be fully used, was uplifting, enjoyable and unputdownable. The new techniques and procedures he developed, have been copied wherever leprosy is found, so that he leaves a wonderful medical, as well as spiritual legacy. I can't recommend this book enough.
