‘The entire focus is unpacking and applying what Scripture has to say about marriage from a husband's perspective. There are some personal anecdotes, but the vast majority is very keenly focused on the simple application of Scripture, which makes this book as timeless as the truths it is founded upon. It is very well-written, clear, and to the point, with very few frills. Lists of application points galore. Lots of very well-organized sections and sub-sections with clear headings, making it easy to navigate and understand. Personally, I have placed sticky notes on the sections where I know I have struggles. Beyond the first readthrough, I will certainly use this book as a reference point for personal edification for years to come because the material is so easy to find and so clearly and cleanly presented. This would be a fantastic book for a man preparing for marriage, but, because its focus is pretty much just Bible, it is also very, very good for ANY husband. Encouraging, convicting, applicational, compelling, and motivating, all without the frills or jokes. HIGHLY recommend for any man who wants to take his role as a husband seriously and serve the Lord by loving his wife very well.’ R. Van
